How does Shipt handle potentially inclement weather?

At Shipt, our top priority is always the safety of drivers. Because of this, we continuously monitor the weather across all metros.

We regularly share in-app messages to drivers in metros that are expecting and experiencing inclement weather, informing you of what’s expected and what we’re hearing from local officials. Based on weather conditions, reports from drivers, and guidance from local officials, we will also close a metro to pause routes until it’s deemed safe.

Regardless of the weather, we always encourage you to prioritize your safety, which means only claiming routes you feel comfortable completing.
